Imperium Romanum is a military, political, and economic game simulating the numerous wars which beset the Roman Empire, from Caesar's conquest the barbarian invasions.

With monthly turns, a map stretching from Persia to Britannia, and legions, fleets, cavalry, and other auxilliaries you can sack Rome, plunder the provinces, reconquer the empire, or strive for the imperial purple.
